Long Reach Hook – 38cm

This set of 3 tools I had originally custom made for myself to collect Yamadori out in the wild. For excavating trees in more extreme situations, rocky and steep environments where I was finding my standard bonsai root hooks were not withstanding the heavy and labor intensive work. All tools are made out of a solid 12mm Rebar with it folded and welded back on itself to form a ergonomic non-slip handle. All tools come with there own EudaiBonsai Lanyard with Carabiner, and all in the their own individual canvas tool-bag with draw-cord.

Long Reach Hook – 38cm

The long reach hook can be used just as the classic hook is, but specifically designed for getting under the root-balls of those medium to larger trees. When I lift tree out of the wild I excavate all around the root-ball I’m planning to take home, literally so the root-ball of the tree is suspended in mid-air. To dig not just around the tree but also underneath, on medium to larger trees I find having the extra length on the root hook is a indispensable! Being able to clear the pathway around the rootball, carefully navigating around larger roots underneath the tree, whilst being able to lever out large rocks from under the tree with the 38cm long hook. I tool I never leave home with out!
